JUSTeU! Workshop
Of great importance for the support of victims of violence is the creation of standardised procedures for clinical forensic examinations in Europe, which was one of the objectives of the JUSTeU! Workshop, that took place from the 10th to the 12th of June in Graz. Furthermore, one of the goals of the project JUSTeU! is the creation of a Clinical Forensic Network for Europe (CFN Europe), which will benefit all member states of the European Union, especially those who have no clinical forensic facilities at all. Each JUSTeU! partner has recruited one additional forensic institution, which has been invited to attend the workshop in Graz. At the workshop the legal opinion on the European and national legal situation for doctors during clinical forensic examinations was presented and discussed. A highlight of the workshop was a guided city tour, followed by a reception of the Mayor of Graz. The international meeting with 11 European nations was fruitful and strengthened the cooperation between experts from Austria, Ireland, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Germany, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Italy, and Portugal. We look forward to possibilities for future projects!
